I need to confess that I've had ice cream everyday this week...I had it twice yesterday after I made my dh make an ice cream run last night for a bananna split telling him it would make the swelling in my feet and ankles go down...men are guliable!! I have an awesome ice cream place 1 block away from my house so I use it to my advantage.
I'm all about the creamsicles, myself. I grabbed some "%100 fruit" popsicles to try to pry me off the cremy deliciousness, but I haven't even opened the box.
I had ice cream yesterday at lunch and then almost stopped at DQ on the way home from dinner but didn't want to be a bad influence on DD since she'd already had soda with dinner.
Maybe tonight! We have 5 ice cream places within walking distance of our house, although it's snowing here so I'll probably drive.
My doctor's office has soft serve ice cream on the "do not eat list" due to the possibility of contracting listeria from an improperly cleaned machine. I ate it once before I knew (I was around 9 weeks then) and had a shake from McDonald's in March?completely forgetting they use soft serve.
Don't know why I follow the food restrictions when I dye my hair. LOL!
I asked my doctor about frozen yogurt and she said it was okay. That's my big thing, tart frozen yogurt (Twist, Pinkberry, Yogurtland). Dreyer's has it in the grocery store version now too, the mango is FANTASTIC! I am such a sugar hound these days, and I have my GD test in 3 weeks. Yikes.

Oh my god, Carvel... I used to wait for someone's birthday- and then the second i saw what cake was left? I'd eat JUST the chocolate crunchies out of the middle of the cake.
.. I'm pathetic.
But - it must be the moon or something. Every friday I take my toddler to a local ice cream parlor here in my town. They've been around for 75 yrs (this year!) and we have a dish of chocolate with sprinkles and sit at the counter, on the swivel stools, and the man with the hat and bow tie always serves us. They make all their own ice cream there too, I should mention.
... today Mommy fell prey to a peach ice cream milk shake.
Mmmmmmm! Carvel! I miss that so very much. We had one store near our house and it closed about a year ago. In NY, I grew up on Carvel & Mr. Softee. Here in Louisville, they are all about DQ. Not nearly the same
I have stockpiled the Edy's single serve cups of mint chocolate chip for this very emergency!
