Confession: I don't care about the Flame Free Part

I really wanted at least one girl.  When I look at my sons, I think Ethan looks more like me as a baby, so I get urges to put him in a cute Easter dress so I could take a picture (just for a second).

That being said, I love my sons and wouldn't trade them for anything in the world.

It is all the fault of every retail store that has millions and millions of super-cute Spring dresses for every size baby girl and then they put out ugly boy clothes that aren't in bright pretty colors and have pictures of bugs, fish or turtles all over them.  If you want to get cute boy dress clothes, they cost an arm and a leg and are mostly in larger sizes.  It pisses me off.  I want well dressed sons.

  • LMAO! The first part of your confession is hilarious!! I think you should totally put him in a dress, take the picture and then never show anybody! I'm sure somebody will say that you're setting your son up to be gay though!

  • This X 1000.  I had twin boys too and was desperately wishing for a girl the first time.  The clothes have not gotten any better over the last 12 years, in fact I think they've gotten much worse.  And what's with the writing all over kids' clothes.  I hate it.

Believe me, I'm having so much fun with the clothes this time around.  I've got to say though, that my boys are the sweetest.  They are so affectionate in general and are especially loving to their little sister.  They're the greatest!

  • I really wanted a sister when I was growing up, but got stuck with three younger brothers so I used to dress them up in girls clothes and put makeup on them. They would even pose to have their pictures taken.
  • My MIL desperately wants a granddaughter (she had 2 sons).  When we found out Charlie was a boy, I told her she could still dress him up in pink fluff & bows.  She didn't think that was funny.
  • LMAO. I agree you should do it and not tell anyone. Its not gonna hurt him. =)

A close friend has a son with gorgeous big blue eyes and long blonde curly hair and she did his hair up like a girl with bows and all just because she wondered what a girl would look like for them. Then she took a pic on her phone and sent it to me with instructions to immediately destroy the pic as soon as I had seen it. She had to share it with someone. LOL!

This!!!  Except I only had two brothers.  The older one is 6'5" and in the Navy now - I keep threatening to dig up one of those old "dress" pictures and send it to the guys under his command!  =)

I had a little sister and I still did this to my brother.
