I'm still undecided. I'd like to stay away from hormonal BC, but I'm nervous about charting for BC purposes.

I've been thinking IUD, but one of my close friends had a horrible experience with hers so I'm a little nervous to do that. I was on the pill for years before and it was fine, but I'm not sure I want to go back to that. It was nice not having to take a pill everyday (of course now I'm back in that habit too)

We have always used condoms so that's what we'll go back to.

Except this time we won't let Long Island Iced Teas convince us to take it off Surprise

And yes, sadly, I am fully aware of how much better life is without condoms. :sigh:

I will get the Mirena IUD again. I had it after my second and had it in for a little over 3 years when we decided to TTC. I loved it! I got pregnant with my second while on the patch so I am scared of anything other then the IUD now for some reason.

Ugh, I'm not looking forward to having to deal with this. Over the course of 12 years, I've tried 3 different combo pills, the minipill, Depo, Lunelle. Nothing works with my body. We used condoms for a few years with no problems before TTC (which took 10 months.) We'll probably go back to condoms but that makes me a little nervous. I haven't done enough research into IUDs to know if it's even an option.

Probably none. Unless this pregnancy straightens out my hormones and makes me ovulate without drugs, an unplanned is something I will likely never have to "worry" about. If by the grace of God I manage to get a period after giving birth, then I'll see what my doctor recommends since I'll be breastfeeding.

I want to BF, so no BCP for a while. I will eventually have to go on BCP again, however, because I have PCOS and won't have my cycles if I don't "make" them come. I assume we'll use condoms like we have in the past in the mean time.

Since, as my DH's urologist put it, we have a better chance of hitting the lottery than getting pregnant w/o intervention, we're going with zero BC after the bean is here. We've already discussed it.

DH and I will definitely go the condom route until I'm done b/fing. After that we're going to discuss it. When I came off BCP after 10 years I was much more pleasant person, so we're thinking I may just stay off it until we're done having kids.?
