Cute, cheap shower outfit?

I'm not one who usually likes dressing up, but I'm assuming that I'll have to for the two showers I have the next two weekends. I have a cranberry dress that I wore to my first shower, but it's more wintery than spring, and it requires panty hose. :P

Anyone have any good tips on a cute, cheap shower outfit? I REALLY don't want to spend more than $30 or so, since I'll only get to wear it twice, and I'm so late in my pregnancy. (Plus, we're really trying to save more money, especially since we just found out our heater/AC unit has to be replaced.)

P.S. I'm really tired of Motherhood Maternity and the related stores. The dress I got from them ran really badly; I think they have cheap quality stuff.

I actually bought a non-maternity dress at Kohl's. It will fit me after and it's something I really like. With the sale they had, I think I only paid $25 for the dress. I got it from the Junior's section and just bought a large. Threw on some leggins I already had and I was ready to roll!

Did you check out JC Penney or Kohls, etc. Maybe you could even get a regular top in a larger size- most of the stores have lots of empire waist styles right now.

I bought a regular sized dress with an empire waist for my shower. It looked super cute.

I got a super cute dress at TJ Max (not maternity, but I got a size up) and matching flats from Old Navy. I think I spent about $45 but I will be able to wear both items multiple times..

Old Navy has cute long maxi dresses for $25. I got three of them bc I can wear them afterwards. Throw a cardigan on and youre dressed up!

This. I just recently bought some pieces from there that are empire waist that totally fit. You can't even tell that they aren't maternity clothes.
