What I don't get about Facebook . . . help me understand

why some people post status updates at seemingly bizarre times.  Like someone who posts that they are really enjoying themselves on a date or at a party or something.  Because if I were truly enjoying myself, I would not take the time to post on Facebook (even if I had the phone application)!  My theory: either they're serious AWs or they are not actually having such a fabulous time.  Your thoughts?

    It?s because people are now attached at the hip to their cellphones, and can?t put them down.
    Call me old fashioned, but if I?m on a date or at a party, I leave my cell phone in my car or turn it off.

    I'm addicted to updating my Facebook status. It takes 5 seconds to update it via my BlackBerry, and I can vouch for the fact that I have definitely done updates like the ones you mentioned when I truly WAS enjoying myself.

    AW's. My friends hubby is seriously detailing almost every minute of their Cancun vacation this week. Call me old-fashioned as well, but damn - whatever happened to calling a person up to see how their vacation/date/etc went AFTER the fact.

    me too. I dont know how I survived before my blackberry (and I had a treo before!)

    and I am FAR from an AW!
