Babies: 0 - 3 Months

can someone recommend some baby mittens?

dd's face finally healed from the last scratch, only to wake up this morning with a new scratch on her nose :(

I really need to find baby mittens that i can put on her hands at night. ?her nails were just trimmed but she still finds a way to scratch face.

i dont know if they come in sizes, but she is 4 months.?

  • How about socks?  Mittens never stayed on DS's hands, so we just use those instead.

  • Would they just be for nighttime?  I don't think you should put mittens on her much during the day--at 4 months, she is learning so much with her hands and you don't want to interfere with that.

I had some mittens that came with my Safety First baby care kit and they stayed on really well.  Other mittens I've tried were useless.  I don't know if you can buy the Safety First ones separately though.  If not, baby socks work pretty well.--just stick them on her hands instead of her feet.

yes, definitely just at nightime. ?she doesnt seem to scratch herself during the day...and i agree, she needs to explore with her hands!?

  • You could try long sleve onesies with hand covers at night. I never found a mitten that worked.
  • Mittens never stayed on Ava.  Socks work really well though.
