What type of baby class? DH and I took an "All About Babies" class last weekend and it was pretty informative. We were glad that we went. They went over the basics (performing daily infant cares like diapering, the different feeding cues to look for, bathing, different calming techniques to try when the baby is crying/fussy). They also went over knowing when to contact the baby's doctor, normal infant appearance and behavior and car seat safety.
Depends what kind of class you are taking. We took a Childbirth Prep class at the hospital when I was pregnant. They covered everything about the last couple weeks of pregnanct, labor, after labor, new baby at home and just general feelings/emotions/changes. We really enjoyed our class, but I think it depends on the other people in the class. I've heard really bad experiences, but ours was great because out group was really fun and outgoing.
We never took an actual "now you hav a baby" type class though.
