I hear people talk about how their baby will sleep a 5 hour block, especially by almost 7 weeks, like my boys. Still, we wake them every 3 hours to feed. If we didn't all Hell would break loose. One would sleep for 4 hours, the other one would do 3. Then we'd get a half hour before the other is up for another feeding, yadda, yadda. It would be too dang hard to try anything else. Thinking of extending the feeding blocks to 4 hours each. It sucks though, I have one baby who is a total hungry man, then I have a snacker. Woe is me.
Re: I'm So Jealous of your Sleeping Babies
I couldn't imagine doing this with twins! You have to be exhausted.
The baby stage/no sleep thing seems like forever, but its just a small part of our lives. They will sleep through the night someday. I know I will miss my baby needing me so much, so I'm just trying to keep a positive attitude about it.
At over 3 months, my baby still doesn't sleep 4 hour blocks - at least not consistently.
