Hi I am still in the process of looking for OBs and hospitals. They both seem like great hospitals i am just not sure how to decide between them. Any Help would be great.
It depends on what kind of birth you're having. If you're high risk, NY Pres (Cornell) is the best place to go - otherwise, either St. Lukes or NY Pres (Columbia) are both great.
I gave birth at St. Luke's Roosevelt - cons for me: the rooms are semi-private and husbands are not allowed to stay overnight which was inconvenient for us. However, the nurses were great and overall, I had a good labor & delivery experience there.?
I delivered at NY Pres and had an okay experience. The biggest downside is that you have to pay for a private room if you dont want to share and it is VERY expensive ($900 a night). If you do a share a room you cant have overnight guests. The labor and delivery nurses were great, but I did not feel the same for the regular nurses who checked on me after delivery. I love my OB though and would never change because of the hospital. I highly recommend Weill Cornell Medical Associates (East or Westside office). They are all fantastic.

Good luck!
I delivered at NY Pres but am planning for St. Luke's next time. ?If you go to NY Pres you have a 40% chance of having a c-section. ?Check this out:
