Funny Conception Stories?

Like most people I assumed that my DH and I would be having some ridiculously romantic night when our first baby was conceived. Nope! I was sicker than a dog on our anniversary weekend, but by God, I was ovulating, so I just lay back and said, "Have at me!".... and tried not to sneeze on him. LOL!

I'm pretty sure DS was concieved in a pop-up camper on our friend's river property...while said friend went to the store real fast to get something or other. Hey, we make use of time well.

that is a fantastic story..so funny. With this babe, I had just had my tonsils out, so it was the first time post pain and I still couldn't talk..not so romantic, but it got the job done..oh yeah, and in the middle, DD fell out of bed!

I can't believe that I'm gonna admit this but.....the night we concieved we were both exhausted (had lots going on and were really busy that day) and by the time I laid down to get ready for bed DH was ready to go and I told him no way! So he set the alarm clock for midnight and when the alarm went off I was ready to go after a few hours sleep! lol....

I was told to watch for the mucus to know that was ovulating. I saw the mucus that day and told DH tonight is the night. I guess it worked.

Since we're having two so close together it seems like a lot of people are assuming that we must never get out of the bed or something. The truth is we only had sex ONE TIME the month we got pregnant. I don't mind people thinking I'm some kind of bedroom vixen though Wink

We tried so hard for that 10-12 day stretch that my DH bruised himself THERE...he thought he was getting a UTI after our fertile time activities. So he went to the doctor and he checked him and said "Nope, it looks you just bruised it pretty good." Funny to think we tried so hard for this baby that DH got this injury. (He has since healed though.)

We made our little one on St Patrick's Day, after a few beers out with some friends and came home in the mood. DH asked if it was okay and I said yes, I won't be fertile for a few days. Haha, was I wrong! DH teases me that I tricked him. I can't say that I did, but I'm pretty darn happy with my poor charting abilities!

DH and I were in a huge fight the whole time I was ovulating so no sex so its kinda a joke about how we actually got pg. No sex= a baby in our house!

We conceived during the worst winter storm in years. Our house was badly damaged (fire, down trees, etc. ) due to 6 inches of ice and 8 inches of snow, the power was out for weeks all over town, so we got to stay in a crappy motel for a week (the only one that had a room and power within a 45 mile radius), and we tried to drink away our sorrow with burbon and had sex. We were trying for a baby, we just had no idea it would happen then! I haven't drank since that night, the next morning we woke up and just knew it had happened, and what a crazy story to tell!

Baby was conceived in a wash on a romantic valentines getaway. A wash for those who do not live in the desert, is a dried up riverbed that only runs when it rains. My DH and I were playing tennis and aparently he couldn't/didn't want to wait to go back to our room. So we went on a little hike and found a nice cozy spot in the.....dirt... and 2 weeks later I got my BFP! Funniest part is that was the only month I ovulated a week late. We were not technically trying (off BC, but using condoms) until March (the following month). We thought we were "safe" to not use protection! Best suprise ever!! Party!!!

We had been out all night drinking and dancing (it was New Year's eve). All the girls had dressed up as hookers from different eras and I somehow ended up in a little school girl outfit. DH was incredibly interested in the whole fantasy thing and even though I was exhausted and drunk but I decided to be nice and let him have some fun... I knew I was close to O but we had been trying so long I didn't think we had a chance. It was a pleasant surprise and I'll always remember that night... one of my favorite picture of us was taken about 30 minutes prior to leaving the party... and now I can look back and smile because we got PG that night

It's funny I woke up the next morning and knew as well!! ?I just knew, but I couldn't prove it till a few weeks later!

I was convinced that I was going to ovulate the week my dh was on a business trip, so I though it was not going to happen that cycle. We had sex the morning he left and he asked me if I was ovulating and I said not for 4 or 5 days atleast and he said "oh well, I guess we can just do it because we like each other" and I said ok. When I found out I pregnant, he said "I must have super sperm that can live 5 days." he's all proud of himself

I don't remember the exact night that we conceived. But DH decided that I wouldn't chart for the month and we would do it every other day... obviously that worked.

Long story short--DH got home from Iraq on a Friday and went to the ER with appendicitis the next morning. Appendix came out, and he was in the hospital for a few days. No nookie for awhile, because he was in pain....except for this ONE time. I'm not positive because I wasn't charting, but I *think* that's when it happened! Oh, little post-appendectomy baby.

We'd just arrived at our hotel for our "honeymoon" to FL (we never took a real honeymoon, so our trip to Disney three years later was it!) We were so tired, but really excited to be there and also annoyed that our luggage was late, so I honestly didn't think about the fact that it had been exactly 2 weeks since my LMP, and skipped the condom. It's funny, like someone else said, I had a really strong gut feeling almost immediately afterward, but I brushed it off because I usually O on day 19. not so much!

After 8 months of NO precautions whatsoever, we decided it's not the best time RIGHT NOW to have a baby (we are finishing our contracts in Korea, and looking for new jobs back at home for fall). We decided in March to be a little more careful about things....wouldn't you know, THAT is the month we got our baby

We went to see i love you man on opening night and out to dinner. Came back and hubby put on porn. Something about chicks with huge knockers. Real classy. Then we had sex a few times and now we have our little porn baby. Gosh, i can never tell this kid that.
