They think they have to remove my right ovary. I had an ultrasound today and the unknown mass has grown from 1 cm to 4.5 cm.
It is apparently destroying my ovary, and they have decided the damage is irreversible.
I have an official consult next week, but the doc told me to day I should kiss that sucker good bye.
So, that's a fun start to my day.
How is everyone else?
Re: so here's a not so fun fact about my ovaries
She said it would probably take a biopsy to really figure it out, but they know for sure it isn't cancerous.
Apparently it is eating away the tissue in my ovary and leaving it for dead. The concern is that whatever it is could spread to my fallopian tubes if they don't remove it.
She called it something or another, but I am really bad about tuning her out once I get the initial bad news. Whatever it is, I do remember her saying it is really rare.
