Time for one Nap?

How do you know when its time to go down to one nap?  My little one is 15 mo old and she naps maybe an hour in the morning, and then the afternoon is 1 1/2 hrs or 2.   If you do go with one nap, what time of the day are you doing it?  Just curious.  She's starting to wake up earlier every morning even if we put her down later... she's loaded with energy!

Re: Time for one Nap?

  • Our daycare did the transition for us. She still took 2 naps on the weekends for me for about a month after they transitioned, then it kind of went down to their schedule.

She wakes about 6:30 (sometimes sleeps till 7). Eats lunch around 11:15-11:30, then goes down for her nap around 11:30-11:45. She'll sleep until 1:30-2:15 (never know how long it will be!). She goes to bed between 7 and 7:30.

  • I wish I had an answer for you.  My son is doing the same thing right now and what sucks is that I am trying to get him to sleep until 6;30 or 7 in the morning and he is doing the complete opposite.  I have found that if he dosent sleep past 7, he is a grouch all morning and just wants to be held.  I hope someone posts some good advice on here.
  • I was going to post the same question!  My DS will take a decent nap in the morning (about an hour and a half to 2 hours long) but then will only sleep for 30 minutes in the afternoon.  He's not quite 14 months old.  Just wanted to know what some other moms have to say........
