What animal do you have an irrational fear of?

Jen's post about not liking birds got me thinking.

I am terrified of horses. Their teeth freak me out. Growing up my grandmother had a bunch of horses and my brother would always feed them carrots. I knew they were going to bite my fingers off and to this day I fear horses.

Obviously...birds.

I'm ok around them, I don't run away screaming BUT I am definitely leery of them. I always keep an eye on them if they are in my immediate vicinity.

Although, we do have ginormous owls in our neighborhood and one swooped down to get a closer look at ME when I was bringing in our trashcan. I swear that thing had at least a 7 ft wingspan and swooped down about 10 ft away.

Snakes. I know most are harmless and even helpful, but they freak me out with their skin and eyes and teeth.

not really the full animal but I hate being licked by dogs it totally freaks me out. Which pretty much makes me afraid of most dogs who aren't trained not to lick. My own dog knows he's not allowed to lick me, I can put my face right up to his and he'll only try to lick me about 15% of the time

Snakes - I cannot stand to even see them on TV or behind a glass at a zoo. I don't like the way they move... Indifferent

I should also add that I am terrified of snakes, but I don't see that as irrational! I hate those bastards. Baby snakes are the worst I just picture them all wiggling around and I get chills.

vomiting. It is so bad I've thought about seeing a hypnotherapist. If I feel really nauseated, I will start shaking so much my teeth chatter and break into a cold sweat. And if someone around me gets sick - forget it, I am out of the room so fast your head would spin.

I can handle one, as long as it'll listen when I yell NO at it. I hate it when they gang up on me though. I also have a friend who's dog will try to sneak in licks, if it weren't so gross it would be funny
