If you have had a sinus infection

I have a sinus headache and am congested, I feel dizzy when I walk around, I am super tired and I feel like I can't concentrate my eyes on things for too long.  I have never had a sinus infection before.  Does this sound like that?

Re: If you have had a sinus infection

  • I used to get them 4 times a year like it was written on a schedule. Those symptoms sound like one.

If you press on your cheekbones under your eyes, or your forehead over them, does it hurt? That was always the big clue for me.

  • Yeah, it sounds like a sinus infection. Do you have greenish nasal discharge? Poor appetite? No sense of taste or smell? Those are other symptoms.
  • Try using a neti pot 2-3 times a day.  Gross, but effective...  Hope you start feeling better soon....
  • Sounds like it to me but I always check my snot (gross I know but with my mom being a nurse, it's something I've always had to do).  If the snot is green I march my butt to the Dr & get some amoxicillan.  Being pregnant I'm taking amoxicillan & regular sudafed, I felt so much better in 24 hours, it was unbelievable!

  • yes, sounds like that to me. When I get them I usually can't lift my head off the pillow. Go to your dr, they'll give you an antibiotic. Mine also tells me to use mucinex when really helps.
  • Most doctors will tell you a sinus infection needs to run its course as it has been medically proven that antibiotics are infective in treating them.

I get them every 6-8 weeks thanks to a very deviated septum.

Ugh. Sounds exactly like what I get. Had one for hours yesterday. It was horrible.

    Hope you feel better soon!
