Ladies, what did you wear to your LO's Baptism?

I need to get a new top because all the ones I have that match one of my skirts are just not flattering with the massive BFing jugs and the lingering jelly belly.  Do you think there'd be anything wrong with a black skirt with a colored top?  Or a black top with a colored skirt?

  • I'm planning to wear a wrap dress with my Spanx.  I figure it's easy to BF in and flattering to a post pg body.

  • I wore a coral cotton blouse and khaki dress pants. The top is in my siggy - not sure if you can tell but it had just enough structure to help hide the muffin top/jelly belly without looking like a maternity shirt. Not sure how the ginormous jugs would fare...I wouldn't know about that issue LOL

I don't think there is anything wrong with a black skirt/colored top combo.

  • I wore a cream colored, blue floral print dress with a blue cardigan over it. I don't think that there is anything wrong with one piece of clothing being black. I noticed that many people wore softer (beige, white, etc.) or bright colors. I guess because it is springtime. I know that that's what I did.
  • I like the wrap dress suggestion, but I think the skirt and top would be fine.  I say go with black skirt and colorful top.

If I could find one for the price I'd want to spend, I'd be all over it.  I don't think that'll happen, though.

  • My whole outfit was from H&M...I spent less than $75 on a top, cami and pants. My shoes cost $15 from Bakers. This makes me feel better about spending a bajillion dollars on spanx.
  • I have 2 great wrap dresses from JCPenney.  I would try there or Kohl's since they have more "misses" type clothing like that and are very reasonably priced.  GL!

I'd really like to spend less than $50.  I have a merchandise credit to kohls so I'm definitely going to check there.  I can't remember where there's a Penney's around me but I can find one.

  • Oooh.  I see something really nice at Kohl's for $35.  I hope they'll have it at the store.
