  I don't wait -- I'd open it!  If you need a more rational, less greedy, excuse, then just think -- you can get that thank you card out of the way before the onslaught of others from your shower!

  open it! she won't be there ....then you can plunk out a thank you card in advance and it'll be one less card to write later!!?

  While I am really anxious to open it and see what it is, I was told I have to wait by my boss.  So, I guess I will have to see what it is on Saturday.  Unless of course I drop the bag while moving it and it spills out.  Hmmm....
