QOTD: It's tax day! Did you get a refund or have to pay? Do you file early or at the last minute? If you got a refund, what did you do with it?
Re: ~~Bedrest Mamas Wed Check-in~~
QOTD:
We got a HUGE tax return this year. We moved out of our home in a not so good neighborhood because it just wasn't safe and started to rent it out, so weve been paying part of that mortgage and rent for over a year now. I believe that is one of the reasons we made out so good this year. In any case were going to use our tax return to make a small nest egg since we have no savings right now, and also buy a few things weve been needing. Like a used bedroom set and baby things, also getting the doggies groomed, and putting up a fence at our new place.
No updates. Just working on baby's scrapbook today.
QOTD: DH filed our taxes a couple of weeks ago and it looks like we're getting a refund. We originally intended to put it in savings for the baby, but now it looks like we're going to be using it when my PTO runs out at work and my bedrest and maternity leave become unpaid! We're definitely stretching every dollar and penny right now.
Updates: I had my weekly cervical check this morning. Cervix is still holding at 3.5 cm! It's been the same for the past 4 weeks! I meet with my doctor on Monday and I may be able to go back to work part-time. I'm strangely excited about that!
QOTD: I did my taxes back in February. We got a refund. I paid some on a credit card. Our house is heated by propane so about $900 of our return went to filling our propane tank. No fun.
No new updates. ?Roz is more or less behaving herself, and my little guy seems to be growing and growing.
QOTD: ?As is always our goal, we just about broke even. ?(Why people would rather have a big refund at the end of the year rather than have fewer taxes taken out of their paychecks each month continues to baffle me! ?Your refund is your OWN money! ?All you did was give the government a free loan on it for a year!)
?
UPDATE: Modified bedrest but just found out that all my numbers for my 3 hour were 20 points too high. Wow....waiting for a call back from my doctor to find out what to do next.
QOTD: My DH is so on the ball, he had out taxes done months ago. Which was a mess because we had to both file in 3 states and I was 1099. But lucky us we still got a refund. NOt huge this year but a nice *** of change that I already spent on the baby.
No updates for me today!
QOTD: We did our taxes a couple of weeks ago- we're getting an ok federal return, but more from state. The refund hasn't been deposited into our account yet, but we're just putting it away in savings. Nothing too exciting!
Thanks for adding me
Update: I had a great appointment with the High Risk doctor on Monday! They did an ultrasound and found no new active bleeding sites! My placenta that was low lying, has moved up away from the cervix, and the partial placental abruption has either re-attached, or the baby has pushed it closed. The doctors are pretty shocked. I hope this is the begining of all the good news! I just keep praying.
We also found out we are having a GIRL!!!
QOTD: We always have to pay, every year. My husband owns his own business, so that gets us every time!
Update: Had my last Level 2 U/S this am. Baby boy is measuring excellent. 6lbs 4oz! He gained 2 pounds in a month. With 12 days till C-section to go, looks like he's going to be a good size baby.
I'm feeling very grateful considering that his placenta had an abruption and there was so much anxiety of his growth and knowing he was getting what he needed.
QOTD: DH filed at the beginning of March. We got a good size refund from the state which is good cause we owed a chunk to Fed. So that's where our refund went, we had a small amount to pay from our bank acct to Uncle Sam. This year was better, but it's the second year in a row we owed to Fed. Blah.
update: I had another good appointment today. The baby passed 10/10 in the biophysical/NST! Right now I am 1-2 cm dialate, 50% effaced and baby is at a -2 station. Since I have low fluid, they won't let me be off bed rest until I go into labor, even when I reach full term. I will go back in another week to see how things are going. Although I am so thrilled to have made it so far, I was a tiny bit disappointed today to not be scheduling an induction. Weird, I know...
QOTD: We did our taxes back in February. We got a small refund, which we put in to savings. A few weeks later I was put on BR, so we were happy to have that small amount added to savings.
Update: My stitch came out yesterday morning and I am officially no longer on bed rest!!! I walked for an hour yesterday before having to be pushed in a wheelchair to go out to lunch and see a movie. I was SO SO sore. I guess four solid months of strict bed rest will do that. Today I went out, but only walked for about 40 minutes, and I am already feeling better.
As of this morning, I am 3cm dilated and 80% effaced....
QOTD: We filed our taxes early through an accountant, and we had to pay! Boo!
