I Made it to 6 Months!

I have had every problem you could imagine with breastfeeding (latch issues, over supply, undersupply, overactive letdown, etc.) I was determined to stick with it though and my DS and I did it. 3 mos. was my goal at first then 6 mos. Now I would love to shoot for a year but at this point my supply is such an issue (has been due to PCOS) that DS is less than interested a lot. I am going to let him self wean from this point on. He still loves the breast in AM (I have the largest supply then) and could care less during his lunch feed and night feed (I am a full time working Mom) so I am going to let him decide. If I make it to 1 year or more great. If not, I am so happy to have made it to 6 mos. I sure will miss it though! Not ready to give it up yet so I hope DS isn't. I sure would love to give up the pumping though...ugh.

Good for you! I also hate pumping and look forward to giving that up. I am in the last few weeks stretch and then I will wean my little one. I am going to miss the bonding though!

Good job! If I were still a WOHM I'm not sure if we would have made it this long, I was never a very successful pumper.

isn't it a great feelign of accomplishment? Congrats to you. You have the right attitude. If you make it to a year, great, if not six months is still awesome. I had the same attitude as you. I'm still at it...68 more days til a year, I think I can make!
