back from 1st u/s

well, i guess it went good...i'm 5w3d today and they saw a sac, yolk sac and were happy with what they saw.  no inkling of a heartbeat yet (and they told me again before they started that it would be highly unlikely we would see it)...can't lie and say that a little flutter wouldn't have been nice, but i'll wait.  they said the sac is measuring 6w0d so a little ahead of schedule...i'll take it.

we have our 2nd u/s appointment next tuesday afternoon followed by an appointment with the re himself and then we'll be released to my ob...providing the floor doesn't fall out from underneath us between now and then or there is no heartbeat next week.

uh, i'm not gonna make it!

    Sounds like everything is as it should be. I'm also just wishing these next few weeks will fly. I have an u/s scheduled in a couple weeks for 5w4d and I was wondering what to expect, so this was helpful.

    Yeah you are way way way too early for a HB but what you did see sounds awesome!  Can't wait for your next update Smile 

    I always joke, this is our other 2ww Stick out tongue  It isn't easy at all waiting and you worry so!

    i'm just concerned that next week at 6w2d will still be too early to really see a hb?  should i be able to see something then without a doubt, or should i try to push back my appointment a few days to avoid being terrified if i don't see something?  the dr. said to schedule my appt. 7-10 days out, but the receptionist said if it weren't for next tuesday (exactly 7 days today) i would have to wait until beyond 15 days or so as they are really booked.

    what are your thoughts from those who had appts. in their 6th week?

    We had 2 years of IF trying to conceive #2 and one loss during that time. We are currently trying for #3! had another loss the end of June

    Oh well I'm glad you saw what was expected and I'm sure by your next u/s you'll have a nice strong hb. I was warned at my 6 week u/s that I might not see a hb. We did, but it was only 110 which is very low. Dr said that a day or two earlier and we probably wouldn't have seen anything. Good luck!
