Disappointed....

I have been planning a surprise work baby shower for a girl at my work and I'm soooo excited for it!!! Shes kind of new and started as a temp.  I organized a pot luck for tomorrow and collected money from everyone at work to get her this stroller car seat travel system which Im even more excited about b/c she and her husband and not very well off and I knew she would need one of the larger items more than small stuff.  Another dept. at work got her a whole huge basket of new donated baby boy clothesand diapers (we work at a non-profit)

 Anyways I am totally disappointed because I am home sick just got back from the doctor and have strep throat!!! Tomorrow is the baby shower and I am going to miss it!!!!  :  (

    maybe someone can put you on speaker phone so you can hear what is going on? I'd be bummed too.  It's awfully nice of you to have done that for her!

    If it will be at least 24 hours that you will be on meds I would go.  You could always wear a mask and say you've been on medication but didn't want to take the chance of her getting strep throat.  The doctor's I've worked for would only allow a person off work the day they came in...in other words they would not get a note for the following day...unless it was late at night and they couldn't get the script filled.
