Last night he suggested that pilates would help my sciatic nerve pain. Maybe it would have but I could barely put weight on my left side, there is no way I was doing scissor kicks! I said NO THANKs. He told me I could not complain anymore until I exercised. I sat on the couch bawling for the rest of the night. Ugh, IDIOT.
I am making a list of things husbands should never say. That was #2.
Re: ugh... DH is an IDIOT
agreed.
I haven't had that pain yet, but heard there are stretches you can do. The girls on 2nd tri might now how to make it a little better.
Sorry your DH doesn't get it. Boys are so stupid sometimes.
Yea, I am going to start prenatal yoga next week (they don't let you start any earlier) so hopefully that will loosen everything up! I will be over on 2nd tri today though!
I am so sorry that you are uncomfortable. Good luck at feeling better. I agree that Pilates will not help.
Just curious, what is the number 1 thing that a husband should not say?
I'm sorry--I get the same thing from my DH when I complain about my back pain--I have a herniated disc. He tells me to do pilates or shut up about it. It's a vicious cycle--it hurts at first to do pilates, but it is the only thing that gives me relief.
Can you do some light stretching or some pilates stretches that aren't uncomfortable for you?
The first one that he mistakenly said was "You just feel X (insert nausea, heart burn, fatigue, etc.) because the book said you should feel that this week. It's all in your head."
BIG mistake... he said it one day when I was feeling my worst...
yea, I am going to start prenatal yoga this week but they make you wait until 2nd tri. Once I get a doctor's note on Wednesday I can start and I am seriously hoping it clears all this up!
this seriously sounds like something my husband would say. I'm not PG but he's said stuff like that before.. grrrr ?
?
Lotion + his hands + your ass - sexuality = the equation to soothe sciatica.
promise. and then eat ice cream.
Thanks for letting me know. I am not there, but I can only imagine. I am sorry you are uncomfortable - I hope that you have found some relief!
