I delivered my son at Mt Auburn, and it was fantastic. My ob/gyn was Dr. Kawada, and he was great, but I did have a couple of "emergency" visits with one of the midwives (I believe it was Landis) when I was pregnant and couldn't get in to see my usual doctor. She was very nice, and seemed very good. The hospital itself was very accomodating, and really treat the fathers well, I found. (My sister just gave birth at a hospital in Texas recently, and her hospital was not as good to the fathers). I really liked the nursing staff, both for the delivery and afterwards. They really tried to help with breastfeeding, and one even taught my husband how to change a diaper. Overall, my experience there was very good, and I highly recommend Mt. Auburn.
Congrats. The midwife practice at Mt. Auburn is collaborative, so while you may see one (or more if you choose) midwives during pregnancy, whoever is on call when you go into labor will be there for the birth. I gave birth to my son there and liked seeing Robin Churchill and Sharon Mullen. I'd recommend going to their monthly meeting/open house so you can have a chance to meet several of the midwives. https://mamah.org/meetthemidwives.html

I had three friends who delivered there. They all had good experiences, however, one of my friends delivered on a busy night, so she did have to share a room while she was in labor. Not the hospital's fault, but that was the only thing that she wasn't happy about.

Thanks so much for the feedback and congrats!
It's nice to know that you both had positive experiences there.
