I know we don't "need" them for feeding purposes for a few more months, but at what age can they start sitting in them? We have two FP rainforest chairs in the closet and if they can "sit" in them now I might get them out so they can join us for dinner! I feel less guilty eating when they're awake if I can interact with them while I'm eating.

Re: How old for high chairs?
We have been using Bumbo seats, but from a post I posted earlier today it seems alot of MoMs are starting with high chairs at around 4-5 months..the ones that have enough high back support.
If you already have the highchairs I would definitely plop them in there and see what happens...they might love it and it gets them used to sitting at a table with you.
The only meal we sit at the table with the babies for is lunch. We eat dinner after they go to sleep.
But to answer your question... we started the high chairs when we started solids around 5 months. We only use them for that.... not bottles. We still use bouncy chairs for bottles.
our boys use them now...not for eating, just for playing with toys on the tray and watching me cook or clean in the kitchen. They recline (Graco Deco chairs), and they really seem to enjoy them!
