We're using a PnP... both DH's and my family live at least 2 hours away from us, so we know we will get a lot of use out of the PnP from traveling as well.
I wished I had this (instead of a PnP) for DD because she was a horrible sleeper and I BF so it would have made things easier for us.. I'm planning on getting one for this baby.
CP 3/07 BFP 5/07 - Kylie born 2/08. BPF 2/09 - Alexandra born 10/09. TTC since 8/13 - diagnosed difficulty conceiving due to LP defect. Took vitamin B and Vitex Berry to help lengthen. BFP 2/14 - Missed M/C found at 8.5 weeks. D&C at 9w2d. Partial Molar Pregnancy. BFP 11/14
We put Pack & Play in our registry, that's what I'm thinking of using so it can be used later as well.
Another plan we have is for me to sleep in baby's room next to the crib (and put our extra full size bed for me) so DH can sleep by himself quietly in our room since he's the one who needs to work the next day...
the crib i was in - my great grandfather made in and pretty much everyone in my family since my mother was in it. Its small and has rockers so you can only use it for a few months
We plan to use a cosleeper, probably the Baby Bunk (or something similar) for the first few months. We looked into that other brand of cosleeper, Arm's Reach, but I didn't like how plasticy they were. (We're trying to buy as little plastic and toxic crap as possible, and buy only safecoated hardwood and organic furniture/accessories). I have a feeling the baby may just end up sleeping in the bed with us eventually, but we're going to give the cosleeper a try while the baby is so small.
We're using a Graco pack n play, mainly b/c it was given to us by family. I also have a bassinet that takes up less space that I might use if necessary.
We have a bassinet in our room if we decide to have baby sleep in our bedroom, but the plan at this point is to put her in her crib in her room the very first night. We also have a co-sleeper for lazy weekend mornings that we just want to lay in bed with her!
and the greatest of these is love......2/10/07

Moses basket and stand for the basket so it is bed level. We keep it right next to the bed for easy feeding access. We have used the boys into their own rooms around 5-6 weeks, so we dont use it for all that long of a time, but it is nice and small, and since our master is a main level master, I can drag it from room to room through out the day while the baby naps.
We have a co-sleeper, but we ended up putting the baby in her room about a week after we got home. And when she comes into our room i the morning, she sleeps in the bed with me:)
"Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies. God damn it, you've got to be kind."

my aunt just bought us a bassinet for the baby. I guess the baby will be sleeping in that. At first I was just going to use a pack & play but now that we have one I guess we will use it. Thanks to family help.

We used the bassinet feature of the PNP. No point in wasting the money on a seperate bassinet. The PNP worked just fine. We also switched DS to his own crib and bedroom at 9 weeks. We will probably switch this baby to his/her own room sooner. We ALL slept so much better that way!
Not a co-sleeper (hey why isnt there a badge for co-sleeping?!) anyways... Bryson will be sleeping in our room, in a bassinet for the first few months.

Bassinet in their own room. Baby will let you know when they need you. No baby monitor either. My babys room is like 4 or less feet from our bedroom.
Just my deal!
