Is it trashy if I

take DS to get tubes in the morning in his PJ's? We have to leave by 6:15, so I was literally going to wake him, change his diaper and leave. They are going to put a gown on him when we get there anyway right???

Re: Is it trashy if I

  • Nope. He should be comfy!

  • I don't think so at all.
  • That is what we did. Take some socks with you! If you have any with non-slip grippers on the bottom, wear those for the slick hospital floor. Gl! Tubes have made a world of difference for us!

  • I brought DS to the pedi to get his flu shot in his PJs because it was early and I wanted him to be comfortable.  Do it-he'll appreciate it.
  • When my son recently had tubes they told us to dress him in button down two piece pajamas.  He wore a gown during the surgery but those were easier and comfier to put on him after the surgery was over.
  • Thanks ladies. I am so stressed about this whole thing! I know everyone says it's sooo easy. Honestly I think I am more worried about him leaving to go back and waking up with out DH or I there then I am about the actual procedure. Everyone I have talked to says the procedure is very easy and quick! I just hope he does OK and doesn't freak out without DH and I there right there when they put him to sleep KWIM?
  • I would for sure...and my kids wear pj's with the feet cut off and backwards (so they can't escape), so they look especially "orphan-esque" :-)
  • I don't think it is.
