ds has had diarrhea. Now no pee or poop in 5 hours.

Heading to the dr in an hour or so. But....I'm thinking he's just super dehydrated now. I mean thats a while for no output whatsoever right? and he's only had one small pee in 12 hours.

has anyone dealt with this? What do they normally do? I'm planning on taking him to work with me after our appt for an hour or two.

Poor little guy. He's so cranky too. I feel so bad! I thought it was good he had stopped pooping, but now I'm thinking maybe it's a sign it's just gotten worse. what cha think?

    I honestly woulnd't make any plans on going into work if he is as dehydrated as you say he is. Is he refusing liquids altogether?

    will he drink pedialyte or juice? load him up on liquids-the back of the pedialyte container has a guide about how much to give.

    There is no one there....I have to go unless they want to keep ds and give him and iv or something. But I don;t know if it's that bad.

    He took his bottle, very slowly. he stopped about halfway through and then about a half hour later, he took the rest.

    but nothing has come out since the bottle over an hour ago!

    I would try offering some juice or pedialyte to see if he wants some more to drink. For my DS he would have had peed some by now after having a bottle an hour prior...so I would probably try offering some more just to see if he takes it or not. Has he been sick lately?

    He is trying to get over pneumonia. So he's been on antibiotics. which I know can make them have diarrhea, but this stuff just started on friday, which he's been on the antibiotics for a week prior. So it's not that.

    This is a whole different thing. He's been sick for weeks, one thing after another! I just want my baby well and back!
