I work there as a clinical instructor and maternity is about 75% of their patient flow... it's what they are most known for. All my family members have had their babies there with great experiences. GL
My sister and I have both delivered our children there and we both have nothing but positive things to say about our experiences and the staff. I'm looking forward to having my son there in a few months.
I was a patient of the NW OBGYN group and delivered there.... loved them. My only complaint is my postpartum room was near the nursery and the door kind of jiggled whenever anyone came in or out of the nursery. I always thought someone was coming in my room.... but I loved it there! The L&D nurses were awesome.... I was induced and in labor for 32 hours so I got to meet a lot of them.
i was scheduled for a c-section on may 31st, went in on the 30th for blood work. well i was in labor. the nurses were awsome. got me into a room, helped me with paper work and all sorts of things till my DH arrived.
my c-section was around 3pm. The night nurse had me up at 11pm walking around my room, brushing my teeth.
they were a great help with BF. Did not push either way for BF, totally my choice. when he was jaundice and the pedi said needed formula, they made me feel like it was ok to do that and NOT MY FAULT my milk was not coming in, etc.
I had my DS at NWH and it was a wonderful experience. The nurses, especially the labor & delivery ones, are SUPERB!! My only advice is to be very clear about what you want and don't want to happen during labor. I went in with a birth plan, etc. but got a doctor who ended up pushing her 'agenda' on me. I ended up with a wonderful, happy and healthy baby boy, though - so I guess I have nothing to complain about
I had my first appointment there with my doctor's nurse just under two weeks ago. She was so friendly! I'm really looking forward to going on Tuesday for my first ultrasound! I'll be 8w2d!!!!
