girls with Late O's and looong cycles...

-->
I am on a break between cycles and in between RE's. I had a failed IUI/injects cycle last month and got a second opinion on my month off. I am deciding to go with my new doctor once I get AF. In the few recent cycles (things have been off when I was pg in December and had a miscarriage) that I have begun to ovulate on my own, I usually ovuate around day 36-37ish and then have a short LP. My old RE would give my provera around day 35 if no AF (which was common for me since I don't typically ovulate until around then). I would like to get started on my new cycle, however, I have had all of the fertility signs (lots of EWCM, ovarian pain, etc) but no positive OPK even though tomorrow will be cycle day 38. Should I hold out hope a few more days? I would like to O on my own to even have a small chance, but hate wasting time. Thoughts?

  • I have your type of cycles Sad

    Many ladies never get a positive OPK... it is hard to tell.  Are you charting?  That bi-phasic pattern is really the ONLY way to know.

    GL!!!  I hope you did O on your own Smile

  • I am the same way. .  maybe not as long, but long just the same! I never got a positive OPK, but would look good on a chart.

    I hope you go on your own!

  • I don't chart, but guess I need to! I know it takes a while to get it down...can I start at this point just to get a "feel" for it or do I need to start on CD1. I have read TCOYF, but sold it when I got pg with DS, now I wish i would have kept it....grrrrr...
