1st Trimester

So, Food Network channel...

Is evil. We were watching Throwdown with Bobby Flay earlier and the challenge was fish and chips. Now, of course, all I want is fish and chips, and I know the second I eat it, it is NOT going to agree with me! I can't wait till 2nd tri when I can actually EAT again!

Yeah, he lost this one soundly. Made his batter out of rice flour- great for tempura, not so great for fish and chips!

  • Food Network is on at least one tv in my house at all times...I actually go to bed watching it.  I'm addicted.  It's terrible, especially now that I'm pg!  I want EVERYTHING!

  • The one where he challenges Paula Dean to chicken fried steak is hilarious. Did he really think he'd win?

The food  network either makes me nauseous, or really, really hungry.

  • The one he did win that I saw was sundaes. Seriously, a 5 year old could make an amazing sundae.

Yeah, sundae's aren't hard, and really, that's just a personal thing, depending on what toppings you like!

I think the only ones he ever really wins are ones where he's cooking some sort of meat, which is HIS speciality area. I remember one episode where he made a wedding cake. It actually turned out surprisingly nice, but still, I don't think of wedding cake when I think of Bobby Flay, just sayin'!
