Ok, I am kind of freaking out. I?ve seen posts on this before but now I am wondering myself what implantation bleeding is actually like. I am only 9 DPO and last night I had 3 brownish spots in my undies and this morning there is more but it isn?t really spotting and it was there this morning but nothing new as of noon. Could it really be implantation bleeding? I am feeling bloated and crampy like I normally would for a period but isn?t it really early to be getting my period? Normally I get decent spotting for one day then my period comes. My temps have been slowly rising so I am just kind of freaking out that I might actually be PG. What was your experience? I?ve read that implantation bleeding is very rare but other sites say about 30 to 40% get it. I know I can?t do anything but wait and see. When should I test if I don?t get my period today or tomorrow?
It?s funny because you read about all of this about when you should test, what you should expect but when things actually start happening all that information is lost to me. Sorry!
Re: Implantation bleeding? your experience please
Sorry to burst your bubble, but I think implantation bleeding is a total myth. I never got anything, not one darn hint that I was pregnant, until i missed my period. You can test with a 1st response up to 7 days before your missed period, but if your period is scheduled to start today or tomorrow best wait until then and use first morning urine and get the most accurate result.
My cycles were exactly 28 days so when I didn't get my period on day 28 I knew something was up...and low and behold it was
Mine used to be exactly 19 days until last month it was 38 so and this is my first month charting so I am totally in the dark as to how long my LP should be. UGH. I know I just need to wait it out and see what happens tomorrow. I've had a few more spots throughout the day so I am thinking I am getting my period.
This is a totally rude response, Janell's Nest. Just because YOU didn't have implantation bleeding/spotting doesn't mean that its a myth and that other people wouldn't have it.
My sincerest apologies if my statement was taken to be rude, I didn't mean it to be that way, but I do feel that although it does happen the instince of implantation bleeding is rare in most cases. 85% of people that frequent the Bump boards had no implantation bleeding either so perhaps the people who do have it don't talk about it, but I was just going off of general consensus that I dont' think people really get it as common as other people.
However, I could be a strange case as I didn't have any implantation bleeding, no spotting, no morning sickness, mild weight gain thus far, no indigestion or heart burn, no cravings. The only thing I seem to be having a lot of are braxton hicks, but I am told that's normal at this time.
Wow - you are one lucky girl! I've had all of that and more with this pregnancy! Like it's been said, every pregnancy is different.
That's awesome! What a great Easter present to get your BFP.
Wishing you luck over the next couple of days....keep us posted!
Honestly, I think it is my body's way of tricking me into having more then one baby. DH and I have decided to only have one, but even he agrees that to have "no problems" whatsoever means my body is trying to tell me "see isn't this easy, you can do it again"...then next time I'll be sick and have every problem in the book
Baul0010: Those temps look good!! How many months have you been charting?
This is my first month charting so I have no data to compare things too. I've had only a few spots today so I am not "spotting" like I did yesterday. I am going to test in the morning so I will post my results then. I'm not getting my hopes up though.
I had implantation bleeding. I'm normally a spotter before my period (7-12 days of very light spotting always) and I knew that was I was experiencing was different from my normal spotting. It started 5 days before my period was supposed to begin (which was late for me) and was one small gush of brown (enough to need a liner), one day of nothing, then 2 days of very light spotting (no liner needed) before it completely stopped. It was straight brown/maroon whereas my my normal spotting has more of a redish tint. This inconsistency in color, along with the fact that my normal spotting pattern is very regular and steady, made me think that something was up. I took a test 2 days later when I was one day "late" and it was positive.
My moral of the story is: you know your body, if you think something is up, or if what you're experiencing isn't what is "normal" for you, you should be able to recognize it. Be patient, let it work itself out, and take a test when you're ready.
Thank you for sharing your story. My temp dipped slightly this morning so I am thinking I am getting AF. At this point everything is so messed up for me I am not sure what is normal anymore. My normal cycle was 29 days, always until last month it was 38 days which is still 5 days from now. It was last month that I decided I needed to chart to figure out what was going on. I've only ever spotted one day so I guess it shouldn't surprise me id that changes as well. I will just wait and see. Again thank you for sharing your experience.
