My doc recommended starting a prenatal with dha. There's a million choices out there. Any recommendations? I eat a pretty well balanced diet and I feel that some of the vitamins go overboard...I don't need 500% of anything.
My doctor wrote me a prescription and gave me a bunch of free samples. It has DHA in the pill and costs as much as the One A Day vitamin (thanks to my insurance). It also doesn't make me as sick as the WalMart brand did. You should talk to your doctor.
I like CitraNatal Assure. It comes w/ a seperate DHA capsule. I prefer rx over otc b/c otc are not fda approved so there's nothing that proves you are getting what the package says you are. Not something to mess around with, imo.
I am also taking the Target brand. However it sometimes give me stomach aches. It could be a reaction to my sensitive stomach due to morning sickness (which lately has been after dinner sickness).
So I switched this week to Women's Once Daily prenatal vitamin. I have had good results so far!?
