  I have 3 generations of Francis' in my family so it's definitely not my name of choice.

  My grandfather was Fran, my father is Frank and my brother is Francis (but his friends call him Frank).

  That was my grandfather's name...  If I had been a boy, it would have been my name.....  I was glad I was a girl LOL Sorry...

  Ugh...I'm married to a Francis and he is the fifth boy in a row.  I call him Frankie because if I say Frank everyone thinks I'm talking about his dad.  Ugh...what a mess.

   

   

  Anyways, not a horrible name, I kinda like it, but if baby is a boy we will not be carrying on the tradition (so says me).

  I like it!  Its sort of retro.  My nephew is Patrick Francis so I am partial.  Its very popular for those of Irish descent.

  Francis is our top baby name for a boy.  I like it because it is not popular, old fashioned, and has multiple nickname options.
