37 weel appt: progress?

in 3rd Trimester
So I am still 1 cm dilated but the doctor says I am 80% effaced. And I experience my first taste of what a contraction feels like.  At my next appt they will talk probably schedule my induction - they can schedule it as close to my due date as I want.

    I think that's great progress - I was told yesterday @ my 37 week appt that I was 1 cm and that the baby was so high up she was 99% sure I will have to have a c-section...and that my bp was 150/70 - so now I have to go in daily next week - fun times! GL!

    i had my 38 week appt and Not dialated at all.  But the dr said next week she will see more of a change! but she doesn't think it will be long! i just want her outttt! :)

    I was 50% effaced, 0 cm at my 37w appt.  I'd say you have progress.

    i was 2 cm, 50%, -3 station so the baby has got to come down!

    A little over 2cm, 50% effaced and she didn't tell me station, just said "her head is right where it needs to be for delivery". Oh goody.

    i had no progress at all at my 37wk appt, but by my 38th i was 2cm dilated, 50% effaced and she was at -3 station. So, maybe next week you'll be moving further along too!

    i was 1cm and 50% effaced at my ?37 week... and my 38week appointment... and my 39th week appointment. i've already made my post-due-date appointment ?for monday morning at which point they'll probably discuss induction. why would your doc push induction right at 38 weeks??

    Same as pp...1cm, 90%, station -2 at 37 weeks, 38 weeks, 39 weeks.

    We thought I was doing so well, she thought I would have the baby between 38 and 39! But for whatever reason I just stopped progressing. As of right now we have an induction scheduled for 40w 3d. But I am keeping my fingers crossed it happens before then!!!

    I wasn't checked at yesterday's appointment and I wouldn't have let him check anyway.  Dilation and effacement aren't predictors of when you are going to go into labor.  My doctor asked me if I had been having any contractions and I haven't been so he said there was no point in checking.  Good it made me feel better that I didn't have to tell him no.
