I have a stupid question...

I'm going for a vaginal ultrasound on Monday, which would put me the day before my expected ovulation (CD13).

We aren't supposed to use KY jelly and the like, but the u/s techs use it for giving vaginal ultrasounds... won't this get in the way of ttc? The sperm can't live with that junk there....

If I had my u/s in the morning, and fwp that night, will the ky stuff be gone by then..? What about the sperm from the fwp that we will probably do the night before?

I'm sorry these are so dumb but it has me thinking..... Indifferent

    Not a stupid question!!! People have asked that here before, and I think it is a great question! My RE doesnt use any kind of gel for the ultrasounds, just water...could you ask them to do that tomorrow? Others have said they asked thier RE about that and they were assured that it was fine. By O time the amount of gel left would be so little that it wouldnt affect anything. Good luck!!!

    Not stupid at all!

    I agree with Mrs. S! Ask them not to, or to use water. As long as there is lube between the probe and the "condom" you will be fine!
