Should be excited about tonight but I'm not

One of my best girlfriends is having her birthday dinner tonight and then out to a club after. Usually, I would be super excited to go out but I would just rather stay home and get in bed with a good book. Wow, motherhood sure does change you!

    I know what you mean!  The thought of going to a club right now sounds about 0 appealing.  I'd love to go to a movie though!  Must mean I'm old!

    I always feel like that too when I have plans to go out.  But once I'm there I have a great time, and I'm sure you will too :)

    I totally know the feeling! My friends husband planned a surprise bday dinner for her and I was actually dreading going. The good news is that by the time we got there and ordered our yummy dinner and a drink or two, we ended up having a great time.

    My husband has been working loooonng hours all this week, but I just found out he'll be home super early today. Before he wasn't going to go but now he'll have time for a quick nap and will be rested to be my sober driver tonight! :) We have to drive about 40 min. to get there so I wasn't planning on drinking anything before. Yay for me!!

    I agree.  I feel like sometimes there's a big sign on my back saying "LAME MOM HERE. I  DON'T BELONG".  I hope you have fun though.  Have a few drinks and everything will be fine :)

    I've always felt so lame admitted it but I have passed up SO MANY invites just like these because I could think of a million ways I'd rather spend a Friday night.  haha  I do agree with Ali though in that once I am out, I really loosen up and have a great time and always think that I should get out more often.

    I must agree. I went out with friends a few weeks ago and all night I was wishing I was home with DD & DH.
