We are 2 weeks to the due date and I am ready to organize the dipes. What is the easiest/ most useful things you have found to organize CDs/ PFs and wipes? We are primarily using PFs and covers for the newborn, though we do have several AIOs. We will switch to more AIOs and less PFs as the baby grows out of the newborn size. We only have a couple covers, so is it easier to have the PFs flat or folded in threes? How do you organize your wipes? Just in a basket? Do I just get a squirt bottle with water to use with the wipes? We don't have a warmer.
Re: easiest/ most useful way to organize CDs/ PFs?
I keep my pfs trifolded and then folded in half. The trifold is basically the start of the angel wing fold (which is what we use), so it's convenient. Diapers and covers are in the top drawer of the changing table, so it's all right there. I keep our cloth wipes already wet in an old disposable wipes container right there on the changing table. You can also get a spray bottle or a squirt bottle (the peri bottle you'll get at the hospital will work well for this purpose too).
GL!
This is how we store our cloth diapers:
It sits in DD's closet and we just grab what we need before we change her. The stash has changed a ton since this picture but it's the same idea. Pocket diapers are in the top 4 bins sorted by brand, Middle two bins are still prefolds, 3rd row are fleece soakers, PUL covers and extra inserts. 4th row is disposable diapers/wipes and wet bags/pail liners.
We have a small basket on the changing table with extra wipes and then I found a small recipe card box and we use that to store the wet wipes.
We still have DD in our room in the PNP so it's a semi-temp. situation.
The PNP has three pouches on the side where the changing table thingie is. First pouch holds diaper cream and a spray bottle of wipe solution. The next two - there's one for large wipes, one for small. They are just sutck in there in a stack, dry.
Behind the PNP is our dresser - the top holds her diapers right now. Stack of PFs laying flat, stack of inserts, stack of fitteds, a basket then that holds covers, and then stack of pockets/AIOs. The basket between was key for DH and family who changes her (I even have a piece of paper noting that fitteds need a cover, this other stack does not). The PFs and inserts are behind this stuff because DH doesn't fully get them and my mom never uses them/they confuse her. So the easy stuff is in front.
We will be moving stuff to her room very soon, our plan is to store the diapers in the first drawer of her chest (changing pad on top of the chest) and storing wipes in the little basket that now holds covers. We'll see how that goes...
