.. I'm not sure if I just really had to pee tonight in my SLEEP, or my water broke. (how can you be so stupid as not to know if your WATER BROKE... that's me..)
I'm hoping I've suddenly become incontinent, as it's just shy of 35 weeks, and that's too early for my tastes. I think she'd be fine at this point- i've done my reading, and she *is* big and measuring ahead - I'm sure well over 6 lbs already, but even so.. ![]()
So much for having time to do the VBAC research. IF it was my water - it happened at 3:30am. I've had no contractions yet, just waiting this out a bit to see what happens and if any more fluid is leaking.
In the TMI dept, here's what happened. And I will preface this with - if you read my 1st birth story, you'll understand why i'm not sure what is going on. (see the post "**Robyn**" for the i love lucy water breaking story.).
I was laying in bed thinking... I don't *think* I have to pee, but ... and then rolled over, and either a) peed myself a bit - well, not just a bit, but i didn't soak the bed... or b) my water was breaking. I lay there awake and confused for a sec... rolled over toward the end of the bed - more fluid, got up SLOOOOOWLY - doin ye ole "Thigh squeeze" - leaking down my leg on the way to the bathroom.
K, so i get in there, and what is on the floor is clear, my underwear is pretty soaked, but as we of the "if it's yellow, let it mellow" school at night in our house (c'man, every little bit helps ) - my DH had used the bathroom once already that night.. so... can't be sure of what i was looking at there.. (tasty visual first thing in the morning, right? You're welcome ![]()
I put on a pad, thinking - okay, if there's more, it'll be there in a bit, and i'll know... did the (again, this is delish but .. what do you do??) sniff test on what was on the floor - didn't smell like pee... and it's been an hour and a half now.. no contractions, i dont' THINK , but again - read the first birth story. I spent 15 hours waiting to really "feel" one last time..
I'm thinking I'm giving this till 6am. If nothing is giong on, I'll call the doc and ask if i should come in to the hospital or wait till 9am to go to the doc's office. No further fluid that i can see so far...
I know I was getting tired of being pregnant, but now I'm feeling guilty about saying that if she's only 35 weeks! GAH.
Right.
So that's the story as of 5am. Send good incontinent thoughts.

Re: Well, my fear may be coming to pass...
**Update**
DH and I spoke to the doc on call and we're heading over to L & D to have them check. Luckily - though i've only met the one on call once, i really like her... she said that with her 3rd - the same happened to her. water broke, no contractions, and by the time she got to the hospital, she was 9 cm.
Yowza.
More soon!

I hope you are doing well.....that all three of you are doing well and it is just an incontinent bladder that was so well diluted with your vigilant water drinking habits that it didn't smell or look like urine! If it's not than I can't wait to meet little Charlotte and I hope you have a safe and easy delivery!! I am keeping you in my thoughts and am looking forward to hearing the outcome of your crazy morning!! And yes, thanks for the visuals as I was eating a chocolate chip cookie bar for breakfast....that's what I get for my unhealthy start to the day....sure put that one down fast!! Good luck!!!
Jenn
Good luck!
Keep us posted. You and baby Charlotte will be in my thoughts and prayers!!
Sending lots of positive thoughts to you and your family. I hope that it was just that the baby kicked the p*ss out of you. (sorry kind of crude but appropriate) But if not looks like you will have something extra special in your Easter basket. I am sure she will fine and happy to meet her new family
