DD has never been a big drinker, but since she has started eating more solids at night, she hasn't been nursing as much in the morning.
Is this just the way it is? Solids start taking over? We haven't started solids for breakfast quite yet because I want her to still drink her bottles at daycare.
She averages 12 oz(bm) at daycare (8:30-5).
I am curious about your experiences.
Also, Are you still pumping as often if they are not eating as much?
Re: How much does your 6mo old nurse/drink now that they are eating more solids?
I've been wondering about this too. DS eats two decent sized solid meals a day (3 Tbsp of cereal with 2 oz of veggies for each meal). In the last three weeks, I've noticed that I'm pumping about 1 oz less each session. I think DS is just drinking less and eating more instead.
I agree that Pedis suggest prioritizing BM intake. My DS is a chunk (20+ lbs), so I haven't been stressing over it.
When DS was 6 months old he ate 2 meals a day
