So someone fill me in re: SC Native

in 3rd Trimester

I just caught wind that she may have GBCN?!  Is this true?!  Does anyone have links?

    It was pretty intense..over a few days actually. I think it was last week over on the 0-6 boards. I'll search for the link!

    I missed it too!!!!  She was definetly not one whom I would have ever thought would have GBCN.

    Someone correct me if I am wrong here...

    SC posted her DH had to stop her from taking too many pills.  She felt she had PPD.  A few posts later she was talking about a shopping spree that was awesome at Ann Taylor LOFT.  She was called out on the PPD thing by CajunCutie and decided to GBCN herself very dramatically.

    Basically what happened is she posted about her husband catching her trying to take too many of her painkillers.  She said she was suffering from PPD, which is fine, but the next day she posted about shopping and some girls called her out for being dramatic and said she was just being an AW.  It just escalated from there.  They were saying because her husband didn't make her go to the dr right away he was a bad husband and that they felt sorry for her daughter, etc. 

    IMO, she was not being an AW, but the "mean girls" got the best of her.  =(

    damn - I had no idea.  I wonder if ppd has any relation to bi-polar disorder which can influence massive shopping sprees...  which is what she posted the next day.  Man.  i hope she is doing alright.

    Having suffered from depression myself - NOT PPD - as well as witness my mother and sister, I can say there are good days and polar opposite bad days.

    I just think she seriously needs help, and that yes... it escalated from there. She is responsible for a wee LO now, and that needs to be a priority for her...

    And to add even more drama to the whole ordeal, Adamwife also GBCN-ed because of the way the entire situation was handled.

    Us late 3rd-triers spent a lot of time with SC so it really worried me when the whole thing happened.  I didn't know as much as some, but it seemed to me she needed some sort of help.  And I hope she got it.

    I too hope if she truly needed help she got it.  I know they were a military family living away from family which always makes things harder.

    I think part of the issue was that she didn't go to the ER or doc right away after her DH caught her taking the pills, either by choice or something else, I don't know.  But a lot of people said that was irresponsible of her, and then the shopping thing just added fuel.  It was sad to see her go- I always lurked on 3rd tri when I was in my 2nd and thought she was a nice girl.  Hope she got the help she needed.
