Called on call Dr. last night - Probably going to go in today

So yesterday I had extreme pressure on my crotch and felt like my hips were slowly being pulled apart. Well at 10:45 instead of sleeping I feel sick and started having contractions (BH) every 5 mins, then every 2 mins. I call the Dr. and he asked if my cervix was checked last time and i said no and he said I could go to the hopspital or wait it out if the BH didnt get more painful. I decided not to go, woke up at 12:30 with some again and now I am going to call the Dr's when they open to be seen hopfully first thing. I am still having pressure. Baby is moving just fine though, I am a little nervous.

Thanks DD, I am sure everything is okay it was just really uncomfortable and I am a little scared after reading the pre-term labor packet. I hope to be seen early this morning and probably will go home after, I can barely keep my eyes open here at work.

Kimmiedu -- I had the same thing Wednesday night. I was have contractions (BH) about every 15mins for 3hrs. Some I could breathe through and some brought me to tears. I was scared sh!tless. We called the on-call doc and she said to lay down and drink tons of water. So I did that and about 2hrs later they subsided. I woke up yesterday morning and called my doc.

They asked me to come in for an ultrasound and to check my cervix. Thank goodness, everything is good. Cervix is closed and long. He is head down and looking good. They gave me a rx for Terbuline (sp?) to take if the contactions come back.

I didn't think BH could be painful and when they were I immediately thought I must be in labor but doc says some women get really strong ones and some don't.

I have the lightning crotch this morning...hopefully none of the BH I had last night. Just a couple but damn they take your breath away.

Kimmiedu let us know what the doctor says! Take it easy at work today.
