Yep, we went there for our honeymoon. I assume you've been seeing as how you live in NC? We had a great time touring the house, the winery, the gardens, the winery, driving around the grounds, and touring the winery of course.
Have a great time on your trip. Tell us all about it when you get back.
i pph biltmore! i've only been twice.. both at christmastime. i'd love to see it in both the spring and fall! we literally live just as far from Myrtle Beach as we do from Asheville, and in a toss up, i'm more of a beach girl.. so when we have the extra time and money, we head south, not west!
i bet it was a great honeymoon! did you stay on the grounds at one of their hotels?
Actually, no we didn't. DH found a package deal with a nearby hotel. We got to go to the hotel every day of the week without it costing an arm and a leg. I'm in Richmond, so it was about a six hour trip to Asheville, but since I have red hair and my husband is in a chair, we aren't so much the beach people even though I do enjoy going down every once in a while.
We got married in July, and the gardens were absolutely brilliant. In fact, the pic I have is one of the flowers in the hot house. There was a little ant crawling all around it and it stood still long enough for me to get the photo.

yep yep! off to MB. it's my favorite place on earth.... ::sigh::
we were married/honeymooned there last june, and we're headed back to our honeymoon hotel for an extra long weekend. suppose i should be getting ready to go!
