Best place for supportive, inexpensive shoes?

With Brandon wanting to stand up all the time, he's scaring the crap out of me on our laminate floors.  Since he's not cruising yet, I don't want to spend a ton of money on shoes, but I do want something a more supportive than socks/robeez, etc..  His feet slip on our floors- badly.  (we'll get the stride rite sizing/shoe stuff once he starts walking).

  • The triplets had some from target that were inexpensive gym shoes.

  • I saw some really cute ones at Baby Depot in Burlington.  They have several styles and all were 12.99 or less.  FWIW, our pedi said to stick with soft soled shoes until DD is walking without help.  She thinks that the soft soles create a more natural stride with early walkers and lead to less foot problems later.  Since we let DD barefoot it for a week in Florida, she will not keep shoes on her feet for more than a few minutes now.  I am glad it is getting warmer.

  • Target has a bunch of their shoes on sale this week.  Sometimes I can get awesome deals on Stride Rite shoes on amazon.  Little Sprouts in Mason had their infant shoes 25% off.  Even though the store is a resale shop, these shoes are ones they sell new and are similar to pedipeds.  I don't know if they'd have many left by now, though.
  • All of Ava's shoes except for her Robeez and Crocs have been from Target.
