ds had them a few months ago. he had bronchiolitis and bronchial pneumonia. he had them a few times a day - or less often depending on how wheezy he was. i'd say aver 4-6 hours except at night unless he needed it.
DS has had them on and off since early December after being hospitalized for RSV. Our pedi says he has "intermittent asthma" so when he gets a cold it goes right to his lungs. As needed, he gets Pulmi-cort twice/day and albuterol as often as every 4 hours.

DS came down with a bronchial infection and the stupid hospital didn;t do anything for us except tell us he had the infection. 2 days later our pedi checked him and said that he was having trouble breathing because of the infection. Hospital led us to believe the antibiotic was for the breathing not an unconfirmed ear infection. anyway at first we had to do it every 4hrs no matter what. then gradually ween him from it. we had to do it for about a week.

DS used one back in February when he had RSV. I gave him treatments every 6-8 hours for a week, and then weaned down to just after he woke up for a few days after that.

DD has been on once a day pulmacort as a preventative after months of wheezing early fall (after starting daycare). Pedi says we will discuss discontinuing this month. I think it's helped alot!! She also has prn albuterol for cough.
