They used regular Easter egg dyeing kits, nothing special!
Do you know how hard it is to get a picture of a 1 year old's hands? Wow! Anyway, here's the best I could get, hard to tell, but they were pretty blue:
Oliver's allergic to the soap they use at daycare (some industrial crap), so they only use wipes or plain water on him, so they couldn't get it all off. It did come off with some scrubbing at bathtime, but his fingernails are still a bit blue. I don't mind though, because I love that he's having fun. Interestingly, he used mostly his left hand (it was way more blue than the right)...maybe I have a lefty? DH would be thrilled, since apparently left-handed pitchers make more money! lol
I did not get to see the final product, as they hinted there will be some sort of Easter basket coming my way when I pick him up today (they're closed for Good Friday).
Re: Update: Dyeing Eggs at Daycare
DS did egg dying at daycare and he amazingly came home completely clean!
By the way, I'm a lefty and DH is secretly hoping DS is a lefty for the same reason- left handed pitching;-) I think he is a righty, though.
Thanks for the update!
I talked to DH about this last night and he said he's up for it, as long as we can give Ben a bath afterwards. I wonder exactly how messy he thinks this is gonna get?!
Oh, and my husband is praying for a leftie for the exact same reason as your DH!
That is too cute!
I want to dye eggs, but I may opt for the less messy finger paint on eggs version.
