Enfamil vs Similac

With DD #1 the hospital started dd #1 on Enfamil. I assumed they would do the same this time since it was just 2 years ago. I was wrong now I have samples of Enfamil and she is using Similac. The nurses assured me that it was the same thing and we shouldnt have a problem. Anyone use both? Once we are done with the samples we will use the target brand which compares to both. any thoughts?

    we started out with Simalac for DD and she just didnt keep it down. We had MAJOR throwup moments where I swore the whole bottle came out of her. I switched to Enfamil AR Lipil, and we havent had nearly as many problems. I think it all depends on the baby

    DS was on Enfamil at the hospital and we switched him to Similac when we got home. No issues.

    DD #1 passed away in January 2011 at 14 days old due to congenital heart disease
    DD#2 lost in January 2012 at 23 weeks due to anhydramnios caused by a placental abruption

    I dont' have an answer yet.  Well, maybe I do....  we used some Enfamil samples we had.  DS was fine w/ those.  Now we are using Similac.  Once those are done, I expect we'll use the other Enfamil samples we have.  DS seems to do fine w/ either.

    i was told that the hospital switches what they use every 6 months based on the samples they receive.  But they assured us that either is okay.
