I am so tired of people asking me how I feel! I am pregnant on bedrest, not bedridden with mono. I know people are just trying to be nice and probably don't know what to say, but I want to scream that I'm FINE!!!! Am I a terrible b*tch?! Is anyone else experiencing the same? Maybe I'm just having a bad day...
Re: Vent: bedresters, "how do you feel?"
Yep, I totally get annoyed. For some reason to me, "how are you?" is much better then "how do you feel?"
Do you really want to know how I'm feeling? do you want to know about my physical or emotional discomforts and fears?
VA Annie, I like your answer. Still pregnant is very good.
I just say, I'm okay, even at the Dr's office I don't feel like answering that question.
I know when people (friends and family) ask me that question they are referring to my mental state. I also find it strange that the doctor makes the comment, "you look great" too. I guess they expect you to look like you have been through the ringer and like a total mental case. I guess we can take their comment as a compliment, meaning they have seen many other women of bedrest over the years that aren't handling the stressful situation as well! Good for us taking it (well most of it) so well.
