Ultrasound confirmed that our little girl had passed away. We never found out what happened to her. I've handled it pretty well until recently.... now Valentine's Day is coming up again and I've been a basket case.... wanting to celebrate our son's first valentine's day but not being able to bring myself to even think about celebrating on such a horrible day!

Re: Stillbirth / Late Loss / Infant Loss Check-in
Hello ladies, sorry about the late post again, but the good news I am posting from my cubical. Woo hoo, the office renovation is almost done!!!
Yesterday was our OB appointment and u/s. Everything looked good. Cookie is a little ahead of schedule and had a strong heartbeat. My BP was decent at the appointment and we talked to the doctor about it's fluctations but he seemed pretty pleased. We go back in two weeks because he saw I am still really worried and agreed to see us more often.
QOTD: This was a difficult decision for us. At first we thought we would wait at least a year and the OB wanted us to wait 3 mo. (mainly because he likes to see at least a year between births.) He also wanted to see me lose 20 pounds before we tried again. I was down the 20 pounds in October and we knew we didn't want to try then because it would of had us due in July and we didn't want to be on the same course one year later so we wated until November to start trying thinking we would try for two months and then take 2 mo. off so I wouldn't be super pregnant at my sisters wedding. My sister knew we were trying again and basically incouraged us not to take the break because she didn't care if I was pg at the wedding and she understood my fear that I would miss the wedding because I might end up on bed rest. Well we didn't take a break and I am due 3 days after my sisters wedding and all of us couldn't be happier.
I don't think I really have a dream job, but I would love to be a SAHM if money were not an object.
I have my first appointment with the RE on Monday to see about resecting my septum in my uterus. ?I know he'll want additional tests, but I'm hoping that we can just schedule the surgery in the meantime. ?I just want to be able to get on with things!
PG QOTD: It's not the right time yet. ?I have to get my bum uterus fixed first. ?I'm guessing it'll be around September or so when we can try again.
Non-PG QOTD: Realistically, Speech-Language Pathologist. ?Unrealistically, playwright or screenwriter.?
I am waiting and anxious about my f/u appt next Friday. I am nervous about what the dr is going to say about ttc again. DH & I both want to ttc again within a couple months...
We are waiting to see what the dr says really, but I think it will probably be three months.. They say a woman grieves really hard for 3 months after a 2nd tri loss.. I want to have worked thru my stages of grief before getting pg again. I dont think I dealt with my m/c in October before I got pg again and now I am dealing with the loss of both pg...
My dream job would be a horse trainer / horse rescuer. Its not that unrealistic though as I have horses, am a certified vet tech, but we just dont have the facilities to do it at this point..
I am a stay at home mom right now and its a good job, but with both my kids in school now it would be nice to work with horses during the day.
Sorry I dont have any suggestions..
1. I had an u/s this week, and everything looked great, no abnormalities. We go back at 20 wks for another anatomy scan, but so far everything looks good. It has provided me with some relief...
2. We started as soon as my doc said it was ok, which was after about 3 months. I'm 31, and we would like to have a few kids, so we didn't want to wait much longer since you never know what will happen. Also, I found that my grief was focused a lot on the fact that we don't have any children yet, and the only way to make that happen was to try again. We were scared to try again, but my desire to have a living baby far outweighed that. I will say that the TTC process was really the most difficult part of the loss so far. It took us 5 cycles, and each time I got my period, it was like another loss all over again, the loss of the hope for a little one in our lives. I cried and cried each time. But, in the end, it's all worth it...
3. I've always said I wanted to be a mom when I grow up. I hope that will come true this fall! But, my REAL dream job would be a lead singer in a rock band. Too bad I can't carry a tune in a bucket!
1. Please feel free to give a general update. We had our NT scan today, and so far so good..one hurdle down..the next thing will the 20wk u/s..and that is when they will tell us that everything looks perfect ::crosses fingers::
2. PG related QOTD: How have you determined it is or was the right time to try again? Well, we knew we wanted to wait at least a year (per doc orders), but after that, we had different views of exactly when. This pg was an oops (me: "c'mon honey-lets not use protection just this once, what are the odds of me getting pg after 1 time?"). Ironically enough, this baby was conceived 2 days before Jack's first birthday..so when the doctor told us to wait a year, we did exactly what he told us to. Although I am thrilled to be pg again. I kind of wish we had waited. I don't think Dh has really dealt with losing Jack.
3. Non-PG related QOTD: What is your dream job? I would love nothing more than to be SAHM.
4. Any suggestion of either QOTD? Nope.
1. Please feel free to give a general update.
Well my SAL baby is almost 9 months old. As some of you may know he started having seizures at 4 weeks old, and was diagnosed with Tuberous Sclerosis and Infantile Spams/Epilepsy at 2 months old. We deal with his condition everyday we are alternately so scared and so hopeful for how his life will be down the road. We have begun trying to TTC a sibling for Lincoln, and are also worried about the health of our next child both before and after birth.
2. PG related QOTD: How have you determined it is or was the right time to try again?
Well. My husband had siblings close in age, and he has a great relationship with them. We wanted out children to be close. We had to consider carefully what DS's condition meant to the future of our family, but we decided that no matter when other children were added, it would be about the same difficulty for DS and for us.
3. Non-PG related QOTD: What is your dream job?
It used to be something involving starting up a plant nursery, but now think a SAHM is the best thing in the world. I really can't wait to add to my family.
4. Any suggestion of either QOTD? Nope.
Not too much to update on. We're trying again. Today would have been Gabi's 6 month birthday, but the day was perfect anyway because it was Easter, my parents were visiting, and our Easter service this morning was beauriful.
We talked about trying again, and I met with the doctor to see if he had any special plans. After my appt. with the doc, I felt I was ready. I told DH, and he said he was ready a month later (about 2 weeks ago). It's just right.
I'd love to be a SAHM. I guess my real out there (for me anyway) dream job would be a profiler for the FBI (and no, I am not even remotely qualified! LOL)
