What prenatal vitamins are the best? I'm using the Walmart brand, but I'm not sure if that's good enough. Are there certain ones that are better for you and baby?
The first time I took Prenate Elite (prescribed). The only thing "special" about them was that they had a stool softner in them. I switched to the Target brand when K was born and have been on them since. I think they are all the same.
I was taking a CVS brand prenatal before BFP and up until I went to my first Dr.'s appt. She prescribed Prenate DHA. The only difference was that the CVS one didn't have DHA which is supposd to be really important for brain development. If you're taking and OTC vitamin, make sure it has DHA.
If you dont have DHA in your vitamin you can pick up just DHA. That way you dont waste your viatmins. I take a prenatal and a dha. The DHA is called Expecta and I think it is made my Enfmil (sp?).
