So, lunch got cancelled - but talked to boss

It sounds like the new hires are a good thing for both of us. They are going to be freeing us (my boss and I up) and they want me to be able to take some courses in the field (build up that resume baby). Guess we'll see how it all pans out when I go back next month.

Sucks that they cancelled lunch, but it sounds like a good plan if they follow through. If it is a smart business, they won't invest their time and money into your learning unless they are planning better things for you.
