heya

just thought I'd say hello! I may be spending some time over here and thought I'd introduce myself. I have a 17 month old son Aiden and have been TTC since early November. I still have not gotten PP AF and am going to call my OB in the next week or 2 to see what's going on. I did spot (heavy, sorry TMI)  for about 2 hours a week ago. A few other ladies told me to POAS before calling the doc thinking that could have been implantation bleeding (knowing my luck it wasn't). When would you ladies recommend I POAS and what questions should I ask my doctor? I didn't have problems last time so it's a little new to me. Thanks gals!

  • Welcome! I am sorry you have to be here. I would call your OB and make an appointment now. It may take you a little while to get in. If you get a positive test before then you can always cancel. To be safe I would just test about 2 weeks after you had that spotting. Before your OB did any treatments on you, they will most likely do a blood pregnancy test to be certain anyway. 18 months is a long time to wait to get AF, so I am sure your OB will want to do something. They will probably run some blood work and maybe a few other tests (make sure your tubes are clear, etc) and then find a treatment plan that will work for you. Good luck!!!!

  • Hi and welcome. I agree with the pp that you should call your OB now and make an appt.  That is a long time with no pp AF and they can help you figure out what's going on.  They will likely start with some bloodwork and possibly an HSG to make sure your tubes are clear.  It can't hurt to POAS before the appt!  Let us know how it goes.
  • Hi sweetie, it is likely nothing is up... you just need to jumpstart AF!  I would call your doc, get in there, and go from there.
